Konnichiwa, minna san!
On AsianCraft pages will be presented far east culture in diverse forms of arts. As always they have been a quite different way to look at human beings and their existence, a way that seems so unusual to the western world. Sometimes this art looks odd, excessive, trespassing beyond considered as 'normal' cultural conventions, but that is the reason, for sure that asian art is so seductive to the western minds. So take a deep breath and let get tempted.

Keep calm and listen to... Buck - Tick
In the last post I shared with you guys pretty, bloody pictures, which represents my twisted mind or they are just medication for my mind...
...Anyway I hope you enjoyed it. But most of the times I prefer to settle the atmosphere with music, in fact I always need music, to take me far away at the right place. Hypnotic,mystic, sensual, psychological sound with deep meaning – in other words I am talking about Buck-Tick. Wicked j-rock band, the veteran of visual key, along with the famous X-Japan.This year Buck-Tick celebrate 25th anniversary, so I thought that they deserve my humble tribute. Well facts are important and I cant miss them. Because the band have such a long history I will just highlight the basic and important stuff. (But if you are curious, go ahead and let the mighty Wikipedia to be your guide.) So lets meet the...
– lead vocals (1985–present),drums (1983–1985); Hisashi Imai (Imai Hisashi) – lead guitar,vocals,backing vocals, heremin (1983–present); Hidehiko Hoshino (Hoshino Hidehiko) – rhythm guitar,backing vocals,keyboards (1983–present); Yutaka "U-ta" Higuchi (Higuchi Yutaka) – bass (1983–present); Toll Yagami (Yagami Tōru) – drums,percussion (1985–present);

Originally the band was formed in 1983.All five members were living in Fujioka(Gunma perfecture).Despite the fact that they were complete amateurs at playing any music instruments,they decided to start a band anyway (and I'm thankful they did! lol).Hisashi Imai began to practice on guitar and Yutaka Higuchi - bass.Then Hidehiko Hoshino joined in.Higuchi tried to convince him to become vocalist,since he had appropriate look,for the band's image.But Hoshino was more interest to play guitar.Imai's friend Araki,became the vocalist.The "rebellious loner" Atsushi Sakurai (which now is the star) volunteered to be the drummer.
In the spring in 1984,Imai named the band "Hinan Go-go".They began to perform live at small,local events.They started out playing covers and trying to have differend image with their hair up and make-up.
As the time passes by,Hinan Go-Go grew and the members too.During the summer of 1984 the band changed their name to
Buck-Tick (which is a creative spelling of "bakuchiku" the Japanese word for firecracker).They also began to perform original songs,written by Imai and a few by Hoshino.
Buck-Tick was becoming frustrated with Araki.As Imai's composing skills improved, Araki became unable to carry the melodies to the songs.Though it was hard for them,the band decided to fire Araki and Sakurai convinced them to let him take Araki's place.Buck-Tick was missing a drummer,but the hole was soon filled by Yagami.
This became the final lineup for the band, and has not changed since.
They released their first major label album - Sexual XXXXX! on November 21 and it climbed to No. 33 on the Oricon charts.And this is where the magic of Buck-Tick began.Their music started to be more mature,strongly influenced by Western rock,especially British post-punk from the 1970s and 80's,though they cite a few Japanese influences as well.
And I will stop here,because Im afraid that I will get veeeery annoying, lol.
I was tempted by Atshushi's voice.Deep and mystic,he drove me to a state of trance.The first song I heard was "Dress".
...and I wanted more and more of this music. Pleasure for the ears,opium for the mind. At live performance they are even more stunning.With impressive scene shows and strong presence.
Well words cant describe everything, they may explain, represent information, but the true magic begin when you feel the music. Go on and let Atsushi and his company to take you in the tempting depths of unrecognizable places.
